For the past few days, I’ve gotten between 3 and 5 hours of sleep a night. This isn’t entirely due to stress over grades and my apparent inability to find a job (and most recently, my car’s battery dying completely).
No, a big culprit is the number of mosquitoes that invade my room each night. Particularly the tiger mosquitoes. These more-silent hunters bite repeatedly, seemingly for no reason other than to cause suffering.
Last night, I declared rather loudly that “Shere Khan was not going to taste man tonight,” which was thankfully not heard by anyone else.
In any case, I’m behind on sleep, and the days are melding together into an odd cycle of school work, applying for work, and finding myself in the company of various friends.
Thank goodness this semester ends in a week or so.
